Luna

Main character for our final project at Vancouver Film School! I provided these references for our character artist and animator.

Luna is a 23 year old female monk who is finally ready to take the Trial of the Gates. She’s very confident, sometimes too much for her own sake, according to her Master. She has mastered the use of the Teushen Staff, and is fluent in moon magic. Her confidence sometimes reflects in her being a little bit stubborn and rebellious. Her Master keeps reminding her that in order to pass the Trial of the Gates, she needs to let go of her ego: she’s just a monk, one of many that have chosen to live a life of contemplation and strengthening.

She always carries a small, blue pouch, where she keeps some medicinal herbs, an Adrenaline Bar, and her most beloved possession: a wooden rabbit that was given to her by her mother before she passed away. Luna barely remembers her mother. She was found all alone and scared by her Master and since then the Teushen have been her only family.

She feels great pride in being a Teushen monk. She is very excited about passing the Trial and journeying into the world. She would love to see the frozen Amazonian Plains or the Saharan Glaciers! She’s been preparing for this her whole life… and now she’s ready.
